The Space Age Cordless Telephone is one of the world's first cordless phones. It debuted at the Space Needle as part of the Seattle World's Fair in 1962. The cordless functionality was implemented through the use of low frequency radio. The set contained a receiver, transmitter, and antenna that communicated with another antenna hidden in the walls of the Space Needle.
