CMS:Red telephone box
Appearance
The red telephone box is a British K6 telephone box originally utilized by British Telecom (BT). At the request of some of Dick Bendicksen's radio contacts it was donated to the museum by BT but dropped off in Norwich, England, requiring the combined effort of museum volunteers, friends, and professional connections to transport it to the museum in Seattle.
"The Call Box Caper"
More effort than expected went into transporting the telephone box from England to Seattle. Don Ostrand compiled a story detailing challenges to the move and how they were overcome in a 1995 document titled "The Call Box Caper."
