45 Carrier

45 Carrier is a class of 12 channel voice frequency carrier systems manufactured by Lenkurt Electric Company starting in 1952. Lenkurt 45-class systems are interconnectable at carrier frequencies, and with Western Electric J, K, and L carrier systems using a Lenkurt Basegroup Transfer-Converter.

45A

45A is an open wire carrier comparable to Western Electric’s C and J carriers but uses a much more compact design.. 45A first modulates four channels at a time into pregroups, which are then modulated together into either a low or high group depending on transmission direction.

45BN

45BN is a cable carrier comparable to N, ON 1, and ON 2 carriers by Western Electric. It uses single sideband SC.
