The '''Space Age Cordless Telephone''' is one of the world's first [[wikipedia:Cordless_telephone|cordless phones]]. It debuted at the [[wikipedia:Space_Needle|Space Needle]] as part of the [[wikipedia:Century_21_Exposition|Seattle World's Fair]] in 1962. The cordless functionality was implemented through the use of [[wikipedia:Low-frequency_radio_range|low frequency radio]]. The set contained a receiver, transmitter, and antenna that communicated with another antenna hidden in the walls of the Space Needle.
