Kercheep was originally a much older PC named "tray", which was set up by æstrid Smith in the early 2010s. Sarah later upgraded it, and renamed it to kercheep.

Kercheeps functions are as follows:

    • also provides an HTTP server and REST API for the call simulator controls
  • runs Asterisk / DAHDI for interoffice trunking and tandem functions
    • is the host for the KE-7 tandem office
    • allows us to dial calls to and from C*NET and Phreaknet
