Kercheep is a computer that lives in the 1XB. It runs Debian Linux and performs several important functions for the museum. It is administrated by Sarah and Matt.
History
Kercheep was originally a much older PC named "tray", which was set up by æstrid Smith in the early 2010s. Sarah later upgraded it, and renamed it to kercheep.
It contains two D4 cards with 4 spans each, for a total of 8 T1 spans.
It is running a custom kernel, compiled by Matt, and a custom version of Asterisk and DAHDI with the following notable modifications:
- hearpulsing is enabled
- Revertive Pulse signaling is supported
- Feature Group C CAMA has been patched to make 1XB ANI actually work (note this patch has since been merged into the Asterisk trunk)
