Aidan's Box of TTY Magic is an index card sized box that contains a Raspberry Pi with a HAT that can convert digital data to Teletype-compatible Baudot code, created and maintained by Aidan, a museum volunteer. The box is connected to the No. 9 Telegraph Testboard which is used to pass along the signal to various Teletypes in the museum's collection.

Aidan's box is capable of generating text from various sources, including:

  • a generated RSS feed for recent Associate Press articles
  • a collection of ASCII art pieces (technically Baudot art)
  • a collection of notable events that happened on the current day in previous years
