The Audichron M-12 is a talking clock that was manufactured by the Audichron Company. M-12s were used in larger cities that had a high call volume. When call volume increases, the M-12 shortens the message which announced the time, allowing the phone company to handle more calls with the same number of trunk lines, as callers wouldn't need to remain on the line as long.
